SafeTALK is a suicide prevention program that teaches people to become suicide-aware so that they may intervene skillfully when a person is having suicidal ideations. This 4-hour training prepares participants to recognize the hints and signs that a person is having thoughts of suicide—hints they might otherwise miss without the training. After being SafeTALK certified, trainees are armed with the skills to save lives.

After completing the SafeTALK training, teens will:

  • Learn the skills to identify a person who is having suicidal ideations
  • Be prepared to help those around you with skill
  • Learn not to dismiss or avoid conversations around suicide
  • Connect those in need to important community resources
