Mitzvah Volunteer Program (MVP)

For Boys & Girls in Grades 6–7

The Friendship Circle Mitzvah Volunteer Program (MVP) is a unique club that teaches the art of giving, volunteering, and making a difference in the world. Participants will explore the Jewish perspective on helping others while learning about various disabilities and appropriate conduct when volunteering.

  • Inspirational lessons, hands-on activities, and multimedia presentations
  • Perfect Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation
  • Qualifies as a Mitzvah Project
  • Eligible for community service / Chesed hours
  • No homework!

Through MVP You Will Learn

  • The importance of giving back to the community
  • How to interact appropriately and sensitively with children who have special needs
  • Critical skills for effective volunteering
  • How to plan and coordinate a culminating event for children with special needs and their families
